Old family photos

Hi, I have a number of old family photos. I am trying to identify the people in the photos, can I post these to see if anybody can identify them

Of course - the only restriction is copyright.

where do I upload them to. My personal gallery or do I post them in the General Gallery for other people to see.

It does not matter.

Personal galleries are a bit of a misnomer as anyone can see them (I can as administrator anyway). I would say that personal related photos e.g. pictures of old family members should go into your gallery and other, more general photos such as buildings etc. should go into the public version.
