Can anyone find my gg-grandfather Henry Rose in the 1871 census please? I have him in the 1861, 1881 and 1891 living in Everton, West Derby but can't find him in 1871. It's possible he was living in the Mount Pleasant area because his daughter Ellen Emily ROSE was born on 28 Aug 1871 at 9 Warren Street, Mount Pleasant. Henry should be about 50, born Farnworth (or Prescot), wife Sarah about 40, born Norwich, and daughter Elizabeth about 3, born Norwich. I'm hoping that my g-grandfather is also with them: (John) Henry ROSE about 11, born Liverpool (St Ann's District).
Thanks for any help
Trish

Hi Trish
Many thanks for that. I've just received a copy from someone on the Lancs Rootsweb List & I was stuck for his occupation too. My problem now is that my g-grandfather John Rose (age 11) wasn't with them. I can only guess that he was with his half-sister Sarah Rose (age 22) - who I suppose might have been married. I wish they'd stay in one place!
Thanks for your help - if anyone comes across John Rose please let me know.
Regards
Jenny

Thanks very much for looking - I'll keep it in mind. At the moment I need to look for the baptism of Henry, son of William ROSE, about 1820 at Farnworth.

Jenny
