Looking for information about my Dad's brother, JOSEPH REID, b. abt. 1906 to parents Christopher and Christina REID.
They lived in Saltney Street, then Hornby Street, Liverpool and then moved to Fincham Road, Huyton in about 1935.
Dad's mother died in 1936 and his father decided to move back to Liverpool. This meant that the boys had to find lodgings.
My dad told us that not long after their mum's death Joe got a job at Market Drayton Hospital and moved down there. My dad never saw/or heard from him again!
Somebody told my Dad that Joe 'had been killed in an accident in Liverpool sometime between 1950 & 1959', so we don't know if he came back to Liverpool OR if he settled down in Market Drayton!
We feel though, that IF he had come back to Liverpool then he would've contacted his family.
If anybody is descended from JOSEPH REID of Liverpool please reply to this message so that we can fit another piece into our family history puzzle.
