Can anyone guess at the name of this town?

Hi all, quick question. I'm looking at John SHEPHERD on the 1851 census, relevant details follow:
Name: John Shepherd
Age: 30
Estimated Birth Year: abt 1821
Relation: Son
Father's Name: Joseph
Mother's Name: Sarah
Gender: Male
Where born: Siney, Hertfordshire, England
Civil Parish: Woodford
County/Island: Essex
Country: England
Registration district: West Ham
Sub registration district: Leyton
ED, institution, or vessel: 2d
Household schedule number: 46

As you can see, the name of the town in Hertfordshire he was born in has been transcribed as Siney, but looking at the original image, I don't think it's that. Can anyone who has access to the original image have a crack at the name of the town? It looks to me kind of like (maybe)Si*m**y. I can't make out much of anything. His parents are from Ware and Cheshunt (mis-transcribed as Chester). Perhaps someone can think of any towns near either of these that could be the one?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Could it be Shenley?

Small village I use as a shortcut from Heathrow to home in Suffolk I use if the M25 is in it's usual car park status?

How about "Wormley" (about 4 miles SSE of Hertford)?

Compare the opening letter with the 'W' of Woodford on the next line. Part of the right-hand curve is missing, but the blob where the curve finishes is clearly present. There is then 'something' and most probably an 'r' (compare with 'r' in Ware on line above). Things then get a bit messy, but it ends with a letter with an ascender, possibly an extra letter - that is impossible to say - and a letter with a descender. Putting it all together I come up with Wormley.

Just adding my 10c worth... There is a John SHEPPARD on the 1841 census,(found him using findmypast and viewed the Ancestry one), he was born 'in county'.... Hertfordshire and living in Wormley! Not unfortunatley with his parents, but looks likely?
