I'm searching for the marriage of Charles Willetts b;1817apx and Mary Ann Dougherty b:1840apx, they may have been married in St Helens, Lancs, Charles was a fishmonger living on Exchange St, St helens, in 1876. I'd be greatful for any information.

Hi Marika
Below is probably the widow of Charles and two sons in 1901 census. It is quite likely that he married in Ireland which is why you have difficulty in locating their marriage and since none of these can be found in the 1881 census it is likely they were visiting Ireland at that time

Name Age Where Born AdministrativeCounty Civil Parish Occupation PageID PersonID

Mary Willets 64 Ireland Lancashire St Helens 706418 17031972
Richard Willets 27 Lancs St Helens Lancashire St Helens Glass BottleMaker 706418 17031973
Alice Willets 21 Lancs St Helens Lancashire St Helens 706418 17031974
NOTE: This is not the same Mary as 1881 family in reply to Birth query who was born in Lancs. but it is possible the information of these seperate families has become blurred over the years
