Help a Newbie please

Trying to trace the family history of the Nelson family from Leyland Lancashire. Grandfathers name James. Grandmothers Annie lived on Leyland Lane , Leyland. And thats all i know. Any help gratefully recieved also any tips or advice on how and where to search much appreciated :D

I'm not to sure if this will help but on the 1881 census I found Two James Nelsons
one born leyland and census done in leyland he was born 1865
