Hi!
After 12 months looking, I thought I had solved this one, but no I haven't.

Would be grateful, if someone could check for a Elizabeth Ann Rostron. On her marriage certificate in 1883 she was 23, giving us around 1860ish
Her death certificate also falls in line with these details.
I have now found her on the 1891 census stating age 31 again looking to 1860, stating place of birth Hindley. I have checked on the St. Catherines Index from 1858 to 1861 but no matches (Wigan district)

So would be grateful, if you could look and see if you find anything.

PS. Her fathers name was William (Marked as deceased in 1883 on marriage) He was an engineer.

Hi Cathy,

I could not find Elizabeth Ann in a search for "Rostron born in Lancashire 1855 - 1865". The search produced about twenty 'hits' but none of these Rostron birth/christenings had a father named William.

There were a couple of Rostron children born to Lord Rostron and Mary Anne at Newchurch in Rossendale. You might eventually find that you are related to the landed gentry!!

Hi!

Thanks ever so much for looking, and I will not give up the search.

No such luck me be related to any Lords of the manor.

Bye for now

Cathy :)
